Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

The Broker — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is broad.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That should be a good addition when it lands.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.

Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
